Who we are
The Ugandan Chapter of the Global Partnership consists of an umbrella of young people that come from all walks of life. From not for profit youth led initiatives to individuals and from students to young professionals, we all step up for climate action. In the lead are the organisations Girls for Climate, Students Without Borders Uganda, Youth and Women for Opportunities & Kwanzaa Eco Farm Initiative, with the support of the Embassy of The Netherlands. Our team has a diverse and inclusive leadership that come from all five regions of the country.
This year, the team has organised a Youth Dialogue to capture the voices and recommendations of young people in Uganda. These voices are to be shared with various stakeholders. These include policy makers under the National Planning Authority and development partners that are working on the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contributions of countries, for which Uganda is a signatory.
